The place has easily surpassed my expectations and would 100% recommend it to anyone wanting to stay at Diani. The ambience is peaceful, the property is top notch, the pool is amazing and private beach access is the the icing on the cake. Totally worth the cost!

Beautiful and large house, garden, and beach. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, in-house chef made delicious food, the beach was basically private and the owners communicated well with us. The location is fairly remote but even without our own transport, we were able to take a taxi to diani without a problem. The beach itself is fairly shallow so massive swims are not really an option but snorkeling works and it is still very beautiful. Would come here again any day. Thank you team!

This place was INSANELY AMAZING!!!! My friends and I absolutely enjoyed our stay! The house was extremely clean, and we booked Chef Rashid so imagine the aromas that greeted us when we arrived! He made us everything from seafood to pizza throughout our stay, was so friendly and the food was sooooo good. And I almost forgot to mention the fresh passion, ginger and parrot juice Patience made for us as a welcome drink! Patience checked on us daily. We loved our rooms, the beds were so comfortable and the AC worked well! There were so many spaces to sit and chill and we spent a lot of time in the shared infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean...this one, we will do AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!

The home was easy to get to turn right immediately after Bahari Dhow on to the cabro road. The pin on the page takes you elsewhere. Bit once you get there the staff are very friendly, responsive and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. The home is breezy, clean and feels very homely. The pool is very clean. The chef gave us a shopping list based on our menu choice and was flexible throughout. Shamila herself was also available on chat and very responsive even though she was not in the country. There are fans ans ACs in every room. The beach is practically 2 minutes walk from her gate. Just the usual vendors trying to sell you stuff. I will def be back.

Our family had an exceptional stay at Paul’s beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the serene setting and expansive, well-appointed spaces. The house was immaculately maintained, with Grace, the housekeeper, ensuring everything was spotless throughout our stay. On Paul’s recommendation, we hired a private chef whose delicious meals elevated the entire experience and allowed us to fully unwind. The pool was pristine and perfect for relaxing, and the location offered both privacy and convenience. A truly luxurious retreat, we would absolutely love to return

Our experience at this Airbnb was largely positive, with a few points to note for future guests. The property itself was clean and well-maintained, with a lovely swimming pool at the rooftop and a serene environment. The housekeeping services were excellent, and the hosts stood out for their flexibility and attentiveness. They even adjusted the arrival time from 2 PM to 6 AM to accommodate our early arrival, which was a thoughtful gesture. Communication was seamless, and the regular check-ins to ensure our comfort added a personal touch to our stay. In terms of security, the hosts were proactive in sharing alerts, and we felt reassured by the measures they took. However, the surrounding area does require some caution, particularly during late night hours. While this didn’t significantly impact our stay, it’s worth keeping in mind for guests planning to explore the neighborhood after dark. Overall, the hosts provide excellent service and create a welcoming atmosphere.

The Villa was as described. Before arrival we were contacted by Timothy who was a great help before and during our trip. He organised everything we needed during a 2.5 week stay. He helped us with transfers, local shopping, contacts, activities etc. A great local host who was great with kids as well. Pasqal the chef was also great. We were greeted with a breakfast when we arrived as our plane arrived 6.30 in the morning. He cooks whatever you need. Seafood is excellent. You just need to do some shopping with Timothy who will get everything the chef needs. Location is great as no hotels or parties are nearby. It is not a mediterranean villa, it has its own character which might not be for everyone. You do not have warm water every day and the water from the tap is salty (really good for hair though). Kids had some coconut from the garden, monkeys are visiting sometimes and if you want to relax, it trully is a wonderful place.

We spent 10 days at Jackie's traditional cottage with shared pool - very peaceful location - nice big shared pool - but so few other guests we had it to ourselves - it was cleaned daily - the children loved it. We had an issue with the shower underperforming but Jackie had it sorted out in no time, the main bedroom had A/C and the second room a ceiling fan, large well equipped kitchen and nice partially open living room with quality furniture - made us feel more in touch with the tropical garden. We regularly saw Monkeys and bush babies, the rooms were cleaned daily. We would always want to stay here when we visit Ukunda again, its only short TukTuk ride to the supermarket and you can walk to Kongo River, although I would suggest you head further south to Diani or Gaul beach as the beaches are much nicer than Kongo River.
